Aseptic Non Touch Technique

Aseptic Non Touch Technique protects patients/ clients/ residents during invasive procedures by employing infection prevention and control measures to minimise, as far as practicably possible, the presence of pathogenic microorganisms.

The resources located here have been developed  to assist healthcare workers to implement the framework for aseptic non touch technique described in more detail in the NHMRC (2010) Australian Guidelines for the Prevention and Control of Infection in healthcare. Commonwealth of Australia  Section B1.7 and B5.4.
